Lawyer pays $668K in Boca Raton

Attorney Mark D. Hillier and wife, Claire, bought a 2,169 square foot home in the Camino Gardens at 720 Elm Tree Lane in Boca Raton from Bernadette and Jeffrey Adkins for $668,000 on Feb. 28.

The Adkins paid $410,000 for the house, which was built in 1967, in March 2003.

Mr. Hillier is an associate with international law firm Greenberg Traurig in Boca Raton and West Palm Beach. His areas of concentration are recreation and hospitality law, corporate law, real estate, securities, and taxation.

He has worked in several architectural, land planning, legal, and consulting firms in the recreational and hospitality practice since 1992. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute.

Mr. Hillier received his law degree in 2000 from the Vanderbilt University Law School. He finished his undergraduate studies in 1997 from American University.

Home sales in Boca Raton dropped 26 percent through December 2007 versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price also fell from $450,000 to $419,000.
