Champion equestrian sells Wellington 2BD for $3.5M to car dealer

Eric A. Lamaze sold a three-bedroom, 4.5 bath at 2723 Sheltingham Dr. in Wellington to Lawrence and Candace Tribble for $3.5 million on Feb. 6.

Mr. Lamaze paid $3 million for the 4,939 square foot house, which was built in 2001, in Dec. 2006.

The property was listed as high as $4.9 million.

Mr. Lamaze is an award-winning Canadian equestrian. Last February, he won the $50,000 Smart for Life Grand Prix during the 2008 Winter Equestrian Festival held at Wellington's Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

Mr. Lamaze also operates the Torrey Pines Stables in Schomberg, Ontario.

Mr. Tribble is the owner of Southern Auto Auction, a wholesaler of new and used motor vehicles in East Windsor, Conn.

Home sales in Wellington dropped 33 percent through December 2007 versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price fell from $450,000 to $382,000.
