Northwestern's Kellogg School Dean Emeritus spends $975K in Boca del Mar

Donald P. and Dinah Jacobs bought a three-bath, 3,544 square foot home at 7894 Tennyson Court in Boca del Mar from Elie Berdugo for $975,000 on Feb. 1.
Mr. Berdugo paid $1,076,350 for the house, which is located in the Boca Hamlet community, in June 2007.
Mr. Jacobs is Dean Emeritus of the
Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. He served as dean of the prestigious program from 1975-2001 and has been a member of the faculty since 1957.
He is an accomplished educator and author, having published books on business and finance and several research papers in scholarly journals.
The
Donald P. Jacobs Center, which houses Kellog's full-time M.B.A. program, was named in his honor.
He is also in the board of trustees of
Prologis, a Denver, Colo., firm that develops and manages distribution facilities in the country and abroad. He also serves as a director at
Terex, a heavy equipments and machineries company based in Westport, Conn.
Mr. Jacobs received his B.A. in Economics from Roosevelt University in Illinois in 1949 and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Columbia University..
Mr. Berdugo is the founder and president of
EB Developers, Inc. a Boca Raton-headquartered real estate developer established in 1993. His career in real estate development began in Israel when he oversaw the construction of high-rise apartment buildings and single-family home projects. He moved to Boca Raton in 1991.
