Pharmaceutical manager sells to cop in Hollywood

Charles and Dana Carlantone bought a three-bedroom, 2.5 bath at 3746 SW 50th St. in Hollywood from Brian and Stacy Appelblatt for $355,000 on Jan. 9.

The Appelblatts paid $192,262 for the 3,600 square foot parcel in Maple Ridge in Nov. 2001. The 2,120 square foot house was built in 2002.

The property was listed as high as $424,900.

Mr. Carlantone is a police officer in the Aventura Police Department.

Mr. Appelblatt is a senior manager at Forest Pharmaceuticals in the Fort Lauderdale area. He was previously the president and owner of Integrated Cigar Corp.

He attended the Florida International University College of Business Administration.

Home sales in Hollywood dropped 30 percent from December 2006 to 2007. The median sales price also fell from $266,000 to $256,000.
