Patrick A. Moran and his wife, Valerie, sold their four-bedroom, four bath in Fort Lauderdale at 2531 Sea Island Dr. for $1.8 million to John Madde on Jan. 25.
The Morans bought the home in April 1999 for $829,000.
The 4,241 square foot home was listed for $1.999 million. It was built in 1989 on 76 feet of waterfront in the
Seven Isles neighborhood.
Mr. Moran, 61, is a former partner at the Ruden McCloskey law firm in Fort Lauderdale. The St. Louis native earned his J.D. from Wayne State University in Detroit after receiving his bachelor's from the University of Michigan.
Home sales in
Fort Lauderdale dropped 12 percent through Dec. 15, 2007 versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price slightly increased from $325,000 to $332,000.
