Former PGA golfer Ian Baker-Finch and his wife, Jennie, sold their four-bedroom, 5.5 bath at 788 Harbour Isles Place in North Palm Beach for $2,753,580 to John and Denise Feenan on Dec. 21.

The Baker-Finch's paid $1.624 million for the home in Feb. 2002.

Mr. Baker-Finch has been a professional golfer for nearly three decades and is best known for winning the 1991 British Open. The Australia native has also enjoyed strong showings in other majors through the years, tying for sixth place in the 1992 Master's and finishing 13th in the 1992 U.S. Open.

Baker-Finch turned pro in 1979, eventually making waves at the 1984 British Open by losing the lead after the first two rounds to eventually finish ninth. He won his first PGA Tour event at the 1989 Southwestern Bell Colonial and went on to outlast Mike Harwood by two strokes to earn a surprising title at the 1991 British Open.

He effectively retired from the PGA Tour in 1997 and was hired as a golf commentator by ABC Sports in 1998. He worked for ABC until 2006, when he was hired in the same role by CBS Sports.

He and Jennie married in 1987.

Home sales in North Palm Beach dropped nearly 24 percent through Dec. 15, 2007, versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price also dropped $10,000, from $285,000 to $275,000 in during that period.
