Cardiologist sells for $1.35M in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

Dr. Luis A. Orihuela, Mirtha Orihuela and Isabel Orihuela sold a four bedroom, 3.5 bath at 1460 S. Ocean Blvd. in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea's Europa by the Sea development for $1.35 million to Joseph and Adele Pacini on Dec. 3.

The Orihuelas paid $1.32 million for Unit #503 in Dec. 2006. It was listed as high as $1.5 million.

Originally from Peru, Dr. Orihuela is a cardiologist. Since 2001, he has practiced with the Broward Heart Group, P.A. in Tamarac.

He graduated from San Marcos University School of Medicine in Lima, Peru.

Europa by the Sea is 50-residence Italian-inspired building with ocean and intracoastal waterway views.

Condo sales in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea dropped three percent through Dec. 15, 2007, versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price also decreased $41,000, from $366,000 to $325,000.

Condo sales in Europa by the Sea dropped 46 percent through Dec. 15, 2007, versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price, however, rose $271,000, from $1.386 million to $1.657 million.
