The unit is located in the Europa by the Sea condominium, a 50 residence Italian-inspired building with ocean and intracoastal waterway views. The Shah's unit, #701, was listed as high as $1.68 million.

Dr. Shah is an orthopedic surgeon practicing in Pompano Beach.

He has his M.B.B.S. degree from Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College in Mumbai, India.

Condo sales in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea dropped three percent through Dec. 15, 2007, versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price also decreased $41,000, from $366,000 to $325,000.

Condo sales in Europa by the Sea dropped 46 percent through Dec. 15, 2007, versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price, however, rose $271,000, from $1.386 million to $1.657 million.
