Gregory and Maria Makozy bought a three-bedroom, 3.5 bath at 1460 S. Ocean Blvd. in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea's Europa by the Sea development for $1,254,900 from Europa LLC and Chateau De Mer LLC on Dec. 21.
The Makozies purchased Unit #1502, the 3,400 square foot lower penthouse unit.
Mr. and Mrs. Makozy have owned A1 Mortgage and Assurance Settlement Services in Cranberry Township, Pa., which is outside of Pittsburgh.
Built in 2000, Europa by the Sea is a 50-residence Italian-inspired building with ocean and intracoastal waterway views.
Condo sales in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea dropped three percent through Dec. 15, 2007, versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price also decreased $41,000, from $366,000 to $325,000.
Sales in Europa by the Sea dropped 46 percent through Dec. 15, 2007, versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price, however, rose almost $271,000, from $1.386 million to $1.657 million.
