Ryder executive VP pays $1.785M in Parkland

Robert D. and Leaanna D. Fatovic purchased a Parkland area home for $1.785 million from Gemini Vero Il LLC on Sept. 6.

Mr. Fatovic is Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for the transportation company Ryder Systems, Inc.

He joined Ryder in 1994 and held various executive positions within the legal and supply chain functions. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Fatovic worked as an associate attorney specializing in litigation and environmental law for Hannoch Weisman, a New Jersey based law firm.

Mr. Fatovic has a B.S. in Finance and a J.D. from Boston College. He serves on the Board of Directors for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and is a cabinet member of United Way of Miami-Dade.

Mrs. Fatovic is a realtor with Re/Max of Coconut Creek.

She attended Clemson University.

Home sales in Parkland dropped nearly 5 percent through Dec. 15, 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price also slipped $63,000 from $790,000 to $723,000.
