Gibb paid $4.3 million for the property in April 2008. The 9,855-square-foot house was built in 2001 in West Cutler Area. It is located in the High Crest subdivision. Jeri S. Jenkins of Coldwell Banker Florida is the listing agent for the home.

Gibb is a singer, songwriter and member of the '70s and '80s band The Bee Gees. The band is best known for such recordings as "New York Mining Disaster 1941," "Massachusetts," "World," "I Started a Joke," "I've Gotta Get a Message to You" and "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart." He also released solo albums including "Robin's Reign," "How Old Are You," "Secret Agent," "Walls Have Eyes" and "Magnet." He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1994.

He received an honorary doctorate of music degree from The University of Manchester in 2004.
