Psychiatrist spends $1.91M on Miami 6BD

Medium 5d00d1c04fc52151f73a762994a5c1ed Dr. Charles B. Nemeroff and Gayle Nemeroff bought a six-bedroom, seven-bath home at 1780 Espanola Dr. in Miami from David and Carolyn Shulevitz for $1.91 million on Dec. 4.

The Shulevitzes bought the property for $2 million in Sept. 2008. The 5,204-square-foot house was built in 2007 in the North/East Coconut Grove neighborhood.

Dr. Nemeroff is a geriatric psychiatrist and an associate at the Emory University Winship Cancer Center. He joined the faculty of Emory University in 1991 and he is also affiliated with Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital in Atlanta.

He earned his M.S. in biology from Northeastern University in Boston in 1973 and his M.D. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1981.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 4,249 home sales in Miami during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $160,000.
