Santiago and Cecilia Hinojosa sold a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 3537 Palmetto Ave. in Miami to Dick Golden for $687,500 on May 27.
The Santiagos acquired the property in Feb. 2000. The 2,073-square-foot house was built in 1921 in the South/West Coconut Grove neighborhood.
Mr. Santiago is the president and chief executive officer of the Latin America region of Burson-Marsteller, a public relations and communications firm. He has been in the industry for more than 25 years. Prior to that, he was the regional managing director for DMB&B Americas and the managing director for Latin America at Bozell Worldwide. He also held key positions at McCann-Erickson Worldwide.
He earned his bachelor’s from the University of Texas at Austin and his master’s from the Garvin School of International Management.
There were 2,945 home sales in Miami in 2008, with a median price of $183,150.
