Bruce and Sandi Lustman bought a condo at 50 S. Pointe Dr. in Miami Beach from Bjarni Benediktsson for $3.65 million on May 18.

Unit #1208 is part of the Continuum on South Beach condominium development. It is in the South Point neighborhood.

Mr. Lustman is a retired executive vice president and chief operating officer of the United States Surgical Corp., a large surgical instrument firm in Connecticut.

Sales at the Continuum on South Beach jumped 280.6 percent from 2007-08, while the median sales price was down 20.5 percent during that time.

There were 1,576 condo sales in Miami Beach in 2008, with a median sales price of $270,000.
