Randall J. Bodner sold a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 1000 S. Pointe Dr. in Miami Beach to Jesus M. Garcia for $1.75 million on May 18.

Bodner paid $712,900 for Unit #2603 in April 2002. The 2,008-square-foot condo is part of the Murano at Portofino condominium development.

Bodner is a senior vice president of investments at Smith Barney Citigroup Consulting Group. He was previously associate vice president of Prudential Securities and later joined Chase Manhattan Investment Services. He has also served as one of the managing directors for the Coral Gables branch of Chase Manhattan.

He attended the University of Florida, where he earned his bachelor's degree in finance in 1983.

Sales at the Murano at Portofino were up 25 percent from 2007-08, while the median sales price jumped 9.4 percent during that time.

There were 1,576 condo sales in Miami Beach in 2008, with a median sales price of $270,000.
