Timothy Michael Sweeney bought a three-bedroom, three-bath condo at 100 Royal Palm Way in Palm Beach from Peter E. Madden for $2.95 million on Dec. 3.
The 1,941-square-foot Unit PH-3 is one of 37 units in the One Royal Palm Way condo development, which was built in 1969 in Palm Beach North.
Sweeney is the executive vice president at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he also serves as president of personal insurance. He previously held executive roles with One Risk Group LLC and The Partnership Inc. He has also been a principal at Saylor and Hill Company.
He earned his B.S. in accounting at St. Mary's College.
Madden is a management consultant at Federated Premier Municipal Income Fund, a management investment firm. Prior to that, he served as president of State Street Bank and Trust Company and State Street Corporation. He also held positions in sales management at IBM and has represented the 14th Norfolk District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
He received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Babson College. He also attended the advanced management program at Harvard Business School.
According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 263 condo sales in Palm Beach during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $465,000.
