Research institute professors take 3BD in Juno Beach

Medium 4aa021e8baaa3e272498f2684d6d991b Paul D. Robbins and Dr. Laura Niedernhofer bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 471 Apollo Drive in Juno Beach from Scott Kirkpatrick and Barbara Kirkpatrick for $400,000 on Oct. 9.

The Kirkpatricks paid $450,000 for the property in July 2004. The 2,102-square-foot home was built in 1980 in Juno Beach West. It is part of the Sea View Ridge subdivision.

Robbins is a professor in the metabolism and aging department at the Florida campus of Scripps Research Institute. He joined Scripps Research Institute as a professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

He holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of California-Berkeley and a B.A. in biology from Haverford College.

Dr. Laura Niedernhofer is an associate professor at Scripps Research Institute. She previously served as an associate professor at the University of Pittsburgh and its cancer institute.

She holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Duke University and a master's degree in physiology from Georgetown University. She obtained her M.D. and Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 124 home sales in Juno Beach during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $285,000.
