Edward J. Brush sold a seven-bedroom, 8.5-bath home at 10 Ocean Place in Highland Beach to Gregory P. Babij for $5.75 million on June 26.
Brush bought the property for $6.75 million in Jan. 2006. The 11,611-square-foot house was built in 1997.
Mr. Brush is the chairman of the Fountainhead Title Group, the largest title company in Maryland. He is also a co-owner of the Baltimore Orioles.
He attended the University of Baltimore, earning his B.A. in 1971, and his J.D. in 1974.
Mr. Babij works in the sales and marketing group at AVM as well as at III Associates. He is also an assistant editor at Take the Magic Step Web site, an international organization that promotes slow and gradual lifestyle changes. Prior to that, he co-owned Slaite Irish Pubs, worked in fixed-income derivative sales at Deutsche Bank and was an analyst at Bankers Trust.
He earned his B.S. in civil engineering from Bucknell University.
There were 116 home sales in Highland Beach in 2008, with a median sale price of $376,000.
