Omar Boraie and his wife, Madiha, bought a five-bedroom, four-bath home at 200 Thornton Dr. in Palm Beach Gardens from Leonard and Elaine Divak for $500,000 on March 3.

The 3,044-square-foot house, which was built in 1989, is in the PGA Resort Community neighborhood.

Mr. Boraie is an entrepreneur with business interests in real estate, international trade and travel.

He established his own real estate company, Boraie Realty, in 1977 after having worked for two other real estate agencies. The New Brunswick, N.J.-based company has developed and managed several commercial and residential properties in Middlesex County.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Alexandria University in Egypt.

There were 971 home sales in Palm Beach Gardens in 2008, with a median sales price of $261,767.
