Dean A. Morande and Monica Morande bought a five-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 1220 Bay View Way in Wellington from American Home Mortgage Servicing, Inc., for $340,000 on Feb. 17.

American Home Mortgage Servicing foreclosed on the property in April 2008. The 4,066-square-foot house, which was built in 2004, is in Black Diamond.

Mr. Morande is an associate at the West Palm Beach office of the law firm Carlton Fields, where he is a member of the firm’s appellate practice and trial support practice group.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as law clerk for the Hon. Edward E. Carnes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit from 2004 to 2005.

He earned his criminology degree in 1999 from the University of Florida and his J.D. in 2004 from the Florida State University College of Law.

There were 1,058 home sales in Wellington in 2008, with median sales price of $305,000.
