Jacob and Mary Uittenbogaard sold a five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 359 Regatta Dr. in Jupiter to Robert O. Roskam for $2.55 million on Jan. 26.

The Uittenboagaards paid $1.85 million for the property in Nov. 2001. The 4,294-square-foot house, which was built in 1993, was listed for as much as $2.995 million.

Mr. Uittenbogaard serves as the chief financial officer and director of Effrx, Inc., a pharmaceutical company in Jupiter.

Prior to that, he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of R.J. Reynolds International, Inc. He also worked at RJRI in the Netherlands as chief financial officer for the Dutch operation and then moved to Geneva, Switzerland as controller for RJRI's Europe, Middle East and Africa businesses.

After that, he moved to the United States as group director of finance, where he was promoted to CFO for the worldwide operations. He retired from RJRI in Dec. 2000.

There were 1,118 home sales in Jupiter in 2008, with a median sales price of $273,250.
